š You lot are NOSTALGIC
From apple fritters, to smores, to bear claws and old fashioned doughnuts, Portland voters showed a love for āif it aināt broke, donāt fix itā for the Final Four.
š¤ Angelās Old Fashioned Doughnut is in the lead
This old fashioned, cake style doughnut showed up in force ā followed quickly by another Angelās treat, the Apple Bear Claw. Itās now Angelās vs. Angelās. Youāll have a tough choice for which of these tasty pastries makes it to the Championship: Will Angelās bear claw dig in, or will an experienced classic come through?
š¬ Two contenders are neck and neck
Donut Queenās Apple Fritter and Nolaās S’mores doughnut bested their competition by bringing in similar voting scores ā but how will results shake out (sprinkle out?) for the Championship Round?
To reiterate: Our bracket is not here to find the ābestā Portland doughnut because ābestā means something different to everybody. Weāre here to highlight the doughnuts that Portlanders really love ā the ones you feel best represent our fair city.
Even if your favorite doughnut didnāt make it to this round, we hope youāll show all of our nominated doughnut shops some love and support. š
Portlanders really š a good doughnut
Across the board, we saw voters pick passionately and root for their favorite Portland doughnut. You all showed your love with well over 125 votes pouring in. We are sure to see more tight races and victors as our four doughnuts get whittled down to the Championship Round.
Vote here by 10 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 25, to see who makes it to the FINAL ROUND.
