Portland Indie Band: Les Gold’s song Oh, Wolf
Hunting around for good, homegrown Portland music, we found Les Gold on TikTok. Then we went exploring and found this official video of their song, Oh, Wolf.
We read the comments before we played the video (sometimes we do that first) and fell over at a comment: “Not recommended for… people with bad taste in music.”
So then we had to watch. And you should, too. This is solid, Portland indie – for people with good taste in music (thanks, Travis!).
Oh, Wolf
(with lyrics)
Oh, wolf
You howl so loud though.
In the middle of the backwoods you’re a menace
Big bad wolf with gold teeth and a necklace
Mean and tough and
Seldom bluffing
Huff and puff and
blow your house down.
Bloodshot eyes looking hostile
Coming outside with a bag and a bottle
But you’re not fooling anyone.
Oh, wolf
You howl so loud though.
No one’s at home
You’re all alone wolf
Out in the cold
Who fears you now, wolf?
You come running but I’m
Not afraid of nothing, I can
Tell you’ve been fronting, acting tough
You’re made of mutton and it shows.
You keep saying we should
All be afraid like the boy who cried your name and
Fear the day you come to town.
Cry wolf,
getting old
Outside, all alone
With no one listening anymore.
Oh, wolf
You howl so loud though
No one’s at home
You’re all alone wolf
Out in the cold
Who fears you now, wolf?
Oh, wolf
Oh, wolf
Oh, no you’re not that scary
Oh, wolf
Oh, wolf
Oh, wolf
Oh, wolf
Oh, wolf
Oh, wolf
